The Lake Ozarks Amphitheater is getting ready to do the first step to make its mark at the Lake. The quarter million dollar sign that lit the sky on old route 5 is about to be moved to the new Pier One Road where the entrance of the Amphitheater will get ready to open for the season.
The old Stoneridge sign was built in 1993 and cost more than $200,000 back then. Just recently a state of the art sign board was put in so it only made sense that the huge sign would be moved and erected with the new name; Lake Ozarks Amphitheater. Missouri Neon Signs out of Springfield will be taking the gigantic sign down Monday, April 5th. They said that it would cost more than $550,000 to replace the Las Vegas style sign. They estimate it will be installed the first week in May.
The sign is the first project toward revitalizing the Amphitheater. Next the small western town will be refurbished and brought back to life just in time for the Crossover Event on June 11th -12th.
Lake Ozarks Amphitheater ‘s next event planned is the Lake Fest and Expo on June 24th -26th. Southern Fun Carnival will be there along with Vendors and Exhibitors. Live entertainment will be going on through out the event to get full use of the facility. There will be a battle of the bands and a top name entertainer who is still to be announced.
