CAMDEN COUNTY, Mo. -- A local man stepped on a live power line and was killed after hitting a utility pole Saturday.
Adam Vermillion, 25, of Osage Beach, Mo., was driving a 2005 Dodge van southbound on Baydy Peak Road at 1:45 a.m., June 12, when the vehicle traveled off the left side of the road at the intersection with Eagle Crossing and struck a utility pole. The collision caused downed power lines. Vermillion exited the vehicle, made contact with a downed power line and was electrocuted, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report.
