Lake of the Ozarks DogWood Animal Shelter

SPAY DAY USA is on Tuesday, February 23rd and Dogwood has set a goal: to spay or neuter 50 stray or feral cats that day!

Spaying just one cat can prevent the births of 420,000 unwanted kittens over the next 7 years!

Not only Dogwood Animal Shelter, but all area shelters and rescue groups are bombarded every day with unwanted cats and dogs that desparately need someplace to be and somebody who cares. And all these donation-supported groups struggle to meet the overwhelming need as best they can. But in the end, there are just too many animals. The thousands that go without shelter and care suffer terribly from cold, hunger, loneliness and sometimes diseases or injuries.
This is all so easily and inexpensively prevented, just by spaying or neutering!

Please…SPAY THE STRAY, as well as your own pets!

To help provide funding for this project, two SPAY-ghetti meals are planned:

1) The Golden Age Center’s Valentine Dinner held on Sat., Feb. 13 from 5pm-7pm. The center is located on D-Road in Osage Beach.

2) Dogwood Animal Shelter’s 2nd annual SPAY-ghetti lunch, held in Dogwood’s Community Room on Tuesday, Feb.16 from 11am-2pm. The shelter is located on Runabout Drive in Osage Beach.

Last year’s proceeds from these two delicious meals helped provide surgeries for over 100 pets! Please help make this year’s efforts just as successful!

To schedule a spay or neuter appointment or for directions or more information, please call Dogwood Animal Shelter at 573-348-4411.
