ST. LOUIS – Don’t miss this year’s premiere amateur bass fishing tournament, the 2010 Lake of the Ozarks Big Bass Bash, which will be held on October 2nd and 3rd.
Over 160 Guaranteed Places will be paid out totaling more than $160,000 in cash, including $50,000 to the heaviest bass of the weekend. This event drew over 1500 anglers in 2009 and is expected to draw even more in the fall of 2010.
The Big Bass Bash is for amateurs only. Its unique format allows the weekend angler a chance to win like the professionals. Unlike most fishing tournaments which have a team arrangement where prizes are based on total weight, the Big Bass Bash format is distinctive in that it only takes one angler just one big bass to win! The top 3 heaviest bass of the weekend will win these cash prizes - $50,000 to first place, $20,000 to second place, and $10,000 to third place.
In addition to the 3 overall payouts, there will be over $76,000 in GUARANTEED CASH prizes for the 20 largest bass caught during each semi-hourly weigh-in, for a total of 160 semi-hourly payouts.
There are numerous ways to win even more money:
$500 Exact Weight Bonus: EVERY angler that brings in a bass weighing exactly 3.00 lbs. and/or 4.00 lbs. will win $500.
T-Shirt Bonus: If you have an official t-shirt in your possession when you weigh-in and your bass drops to 21st place in any of the semi-hourly weigh-ins, you will win $125! T-Shirts will be available during registration at the lake. Quantities limited.
Triton Boats Mystery Weight Bonus: In addition to all the payouts above, the winner of Lake of the Ozarks Big Bass Bash could win an additional $50,000 in cash with the Triton Boat mystery weight and Triton Boat incentive.
There will be three weigh-in locations on Lake of the Ozarks. Anglers can weigh in at PB2, Red Oak Resort, and Alhonna Resort.
Midwest Fish Tournaments is a family-owned and operated company out of St. Louis, Missouri. Over the past 4 years, Midwest Fish Tournaments has paid back over $800,000 in cash to the Big Bass Bash participants, making it one of the Midwest’s premiere tournament organizations.
