Wounded Warriors at the Lake This Friday, September 10th
The Wounded Warriors are those American heroes that have made the sacrifice to serve our country and have been injured or disabled in the line of duty in Iraq, Afghanistan or other areas of active duty.
A Wounded Warriors Transitional Unit is located at Fort Leonard Wood with approximately 120 rehabilitating soldiers. We are hoping to host 25-30 soldiers on September 10th for a day of relaxation and fun including a boat cruise, Main Street Music Hall pre-show, tailgate dinner at the Camdenton High School, community appreciation at the Camdenton High School football pregame and cruise the Bagnell Dam Strip with the Lake Ozark Corvette Club during Hot Summer Nights.
Please show your patriotism and support by welcoming these dedicated soldiers to our community on your outdoor signage, posting the flag and by coming out to the football game and Hot Summer Nights Cruise.
The day is funded by the Support the Fort golf tournament proceeds that was held in July and donations.
If you have any questions please contact Trish Creach, 964-1008, or Danna Kahrs, 348-9593.
